ABOUT KUSH
Kush Jayawardane is an experienced physiotherapist from Sydney, Australia. After graduating from the University of Sydney in 2013, she spent 2 years in Regional NSW working with a variety of musculoskeletal and sports injuries.
She then went on to open her own Physiotherapy Clinic in 2016 in Sydney prior to her move to Vancouver. Kush has been in Vancouver since late 2018, and continued to refine her skills since then.
Kush has always been involved with sport from a young age playing representative field hockey, has competed in Olympic Weightlifting at a national level. Kush has a large amount of experience with strength and power athletes. Prior to her move to Vancouver, Kush worked as a weightlifting coach and was a co-owner of the Strength & Conditioning gym RAW Barbell Club in Sydney.
As a physiotherapist she has also worked with these athletes from an injury management and performance perspective. She enjoys looking at the finer detail of movement, and biomechanics to improve mobility and positioning, performance, strength and power output. Looking at the body as a whole, and not only the symptomatic area has truly transformed her practice and results with clients. Kush enjoys progressing people back to the activities they love doing, and making sure they have the tools to get back to it, she hopes to continue this work and transform each person’s experience in their own body to a very positive one!
